School Programs

The BandWorks after-school rock band program is designed to introduce kids to the exciting experience of playing in a band. We offer music that kids like to play and that is appropriate for their skill level, providing the right amount of structure to insure that they will have fun and succeed. We encourage everyone to take solos, sing, and experiment with finding his or her own musical voice. In the process kids learn how to listen, read charts, understand song forms, and recognize the importance of dynamics. Most importantly, students learn to work together and be supportive of one another.

Our school program is appropriate for beginning and intermediate musicians. All instruments and voices are welcome. Like other BandWorks classes, the after school classes are taught by professional musicians who love to teach. We are more than happy to work with a school to design a program that fits its after-school needs and schedule.
